In our classroom, we value and celebrate holidays and cultures from around the world.
今週は中国の春節について子どもたちと一緒に学びました。
This week, we learned about the Chinese Spring Festival together with the children.
中国では春節に「福」の字を飾り、幸せや幸運を願う風習があります。
In China, it is a tradition to display the character “Fu” during the Spring Festival to wish for happiness and good fortune.
今回はイギリス人の先生がお手本を書き、子どもたちもそれを見ながら挑戦しました。
This time, our British teacher wrote a model example, and the children tried writing it while looking at the sample.
一人ひとりが丁寧に書き、それぞれ個性あふれる素敵な「福」の字が完成しました。
Each child wrote carefully, creating their own unique and lovely “Fu” character.
楽しみながら異文化に触れる、とてもよい時間となりました。
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience another culture while having fun.
